Jennifer P. Ballard joined Ball Janik LLP as an associate in 2008. Her practice focuses on construction law and commercial litigation. She has developed experience in a range of construction defect cases involving multi-family residential projects, hotels and single family homeowners. She provides litigation support in all phases of the process, from research to depositions and motions to oral argument.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ballard was a commercial real estate appraiser assistant in Portland. During law school, Ms. Ballard worked as a law clerk for the King County Bar Association, was an extern for the Juvenile Rights Project, and participated in the school’s child advocacy clinic. She was awarded “Best Oral Negotiations” in the school’s Moot Court Contract Negotiation Competition.
Ms. Ballard served for two years on the Young Lawyers Section of the Multnomah County Bar Association’s Pro-Bono Committee, which focuses on providing attorneys for youth. She recently argued a pro-bono case for the Juvenile Rights Project in the Oregon Court of Appeals (State ex rel Juvenile Department of Deschutes County v. N.L.D.)
