    • We recently obtained our eighth summary judgment victory on behalf of a large employer, achieving summary judgment on all claims asserted and dismissal of the action. Cases successfully defended on behalf of this employer have sought over $13 million.

    • Yael Livny successfully defended a government contractor on a series of unfair labor practice charges, obtaining a favorable settlement and dismissal of all charges.

    • Litigation between Competitors
    • We obtained a stipulated permanent injunction against five former employees who had misappropriated highly sensitive and confidential electronic data, thus putting an end to wrongful competition.

    • Minority Shareholder Litigation
    • We filed suit against our client’s former partners for breach of fiduciary duty and minority shareholder oppression, achieving a multi-million dollar settlement for the client.

    • Pre-filing Settlement of Whistleblower Claim
    • We provided employment law representation to a real estate company and defended claims asserted by the client’s former senior executive. After early mediation, the claims settled favorably for far less than likely defense costs.

    • Successful Defense of a Breach of Contract Claim – Case 2
    • We defended a corporate client in a state court breach-of-contract lawsuite filed by a former employee who was terminated for performance issues. After an investigation revealed that the employee had been using his work computer to view and send pornographic material, the $1.5 million claim was resolved for $30,000.

    • Trial of Wage and Hour Claim
    • Ball Janik LLP obtained a directed verdict on behalf of a high-tech company sued by two former independent contractors seeking payment of an incentive bonus. We also represented the client on appeal.
