Ball Janik LLP’s founding office opened its doors in 1982 and has played a major role in shaping the landscape of present-day Portland and its surrounding areas. The Portland office provides professional services to clients in real estate, land use, litigation, bankruptcy and creditor rights, business and corporate, construction defect, insurance recovery, labor and employment, government contracts, and government affairs.
The Portland office is conveniently located in downtown Portland, across the street from the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse, one block from beautiful Waterfront Park, and two blocks from MAX, the regional light rail system, which also connects to the innovative Portland Streetcar.
The sophistication of the legal practice in Portland rivals that of larger cities. Many of our attorneys relocated to Portland after beginning their careers at prominent firms in larger cities, including Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
